I am getting married in 32 days.

32 days? What the hell!? We just got engaged! How the hell is it already time for the wedding? There should be more time. I need more time. Time! There’s never enough time!

Dear God, I just channeled Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell. I need help. Or the giant vat of speed she took on That Very Special Episodeä.

In case you missed it, I’m not ready for this wedding.

I mean, really, truly not ready.

Let’s see… I’ve got my dress:

Although, I had forgotten what dress I bought and was well and truly surprised at my fitting this past Sunday! and I’ve got the alterations started. I’ve got a reception site, though I still need to finalize the details (i.e. the menu and the number of guests, but that just makes me think about response cards and that sends me into the anger spiral, so we’ll move along now). I’ve got the DJ and we’re actually meeting with him this Thursday evening (um, he had never heard of the song we’re dancing to. I’m really not going to dwell on this as a Really Bad Thing. Yet.). We reserved the cake maker ages ago (but we still need to pick the style of the cake and give her the number of guests and…spiraling…into…RESPONSE CARD ANGER…arrrgh). We ordered the tuxes nearly a year ago and that’s all done. The bridesmaids all have their dresses (black ball skirts, platinum tops), so that’s done. We’re picking up our (free) rings tonight (the jewelry store flubbed the order so it’s gratis now!). I reserved hotel rooms for our out of town guests last year, so that’s finished, too.

Hmm…what am I missing? Do you see any glaring omissions? FLOWERS! I don’t have any flowers. I just cannot seem to get off my dead ass and order the flowers. ARRRGH. I have a feeling I’m going to be carrying weeds instead of the calla lilies I want. Sigh. Thinking about it makes me want to cry, so I’m ignoring it. Because we all know that ignoring something makes it go away!!

If anyone who reads this (all 3 of you) has flowers at their house they’d like to pick from their yard and send to me, I’d be forever grateful!
